Training

Learning is a process we start the moment we are born and whether we like it or not persists until the day we die.  To be alive means we are absorbing information albeit some may be of questionable merit.  Great educators like Socrates and Plato are renowned from the Roman period.  Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Purdue and MIT are those elite colleges from which our best and brightest are supposed to evolve.  Yet we have Einstein, Edison and Tesla to name a few that had educations that were from less prestigious centers of learning.

Learningis a creative process and it is an exchange of knowledge, not just information.  It is knowledge transfer where the knowledge imparted adds value to the information transforming the information into concepts, theories, and constructs that the learner can adapt and use driving potential insight, understanding and application.

Rote learning, memorization has long be a inherit process of learning, but we are finding not only adult learners, but the adolescents resent memorization without rationalization.  Infants repeat and mimic as they adapt to language and concepts.  They reflect the behavior of their peers to an almost annoying level.  They learn to chant the alphabet and regurgitate numbers or simple songs gaining our approval.

Until recent years addition, subtraction and multiplication tables were something you memorized.  With the New Math young learners got the chance to see graphically what mathematics is all about.  There was nothing new except the presentation of the concepts.  Two plus two still equals 4 and 4 squared is still 16.

Our training programsfocus on the learning process and how to take even the most complex topics and make the simple, enjoyable and understandable as well as adaptable.  We use color, graphics, animation, automation, simulations, video, audio and good old fashioned story telling to build insight and understanding.  We want our learning participants to be excited by the topic and interested in learning more.  We know we share their valuable time with other responsibilities and we know there is a wide array of distractions that are quite entertaining.  With billboards, radio, CDs, DVDs, sports, IPods, text messaging, blogging, live entertainment our role must include similar value and impact.

We offer a series of exciting ground coursesfrom 1 to 3 weeks in length and long term on-going programs at our location, your location or an off site hotel or resort.  We also offer a robust on-line e-learning courses both as independent study sessions and group learning with facilitated leadership.

Our standard courseswhether on-ground or on-line do not require any special hardware or software including FLASH or Adobe PDF.  We understand most computers do not come equipped with these products and the risk of downloading applications from the Internet.  We have done the research and engineering to develop everything you might find with such products, but instead use our own proprietary tools.  On-line color presentations are full-color, appropriately sized and fast.  They can be controlled by the student or faculty.  Blogs, text chat, audio conference bridges, video, animation, slide shows and audio are all things offered in our courses.  We focus on professional writing and story telling.  We use examples and color pictures that can be enlarged and we offer down-loadable spreadsheets, documents and databases or graphics from or protected virus free files.

We offer 500 port conference bridges for presentations and collective meetings although our students population for courses are limited to 25 in most cases.  We on exception do offer live video feeds for special courses, this is the rare case where FLASH is required.

In the near future we hope announce the lastest release from our learning labs.

  1. We are developing a Whiteboard that in independent of FLASH which allows on-line participants to share graphic concepts over the Internet in real time.   The delay is in developing all of the features needed to make the tool truly robust and highly functional for students and faculty
  2. We are developing a 3D interactive learning process that allows an on-line participant to enter a room/environment and move about similar to what current games offer.  The participant will be able to move items, select items for further investigation and make decisions.  The delay is in the artificial intelligence that forecasts participant behavior and pre-loads materials in a proactive manner creating an real-time environment without overloading the Internet bandwidth.

We offer more than classrooms and course materials, we also provide a rich Learning Management system allowing organizational coordinators to monitor, manage and report on training with ease.  There are over 21 course variables that can be set allowing for pre and post tests, minimum score, proctors, question in fixed or varied order and the variance in questions asked.  Bookmarks and accessibility to pre-read materials, time in each section and maximum idle time are just a few of the options.
